A glimpse of hope through the “window to the valley”

One of the projects we have supported in Cuba is "Niños en la frontera" in the capital Havana, more precisely in the middle of the social hotspot district "La Lisa".
During their project stay, the Karawanis Bruno and Pascal were able to experience the acute supply crisis in Cuba first-hand: The price of gasoline quintupled overnight (!).
In February 2024, the two Karawanis Bruno & Pascal traveled to Cuba to help people there who are on the edge of their existence. In the last two years, one million Cubans have fled their country!
Two schools in the middle of huge refugee ghettos in Beirut/Lebanon are among our heartfelt projects. Around 30,000 people live in each of these "ghettos", who are still considered refugees decades later ...
Back in 2021, we visited refugee camps in the mountains of Lebanon on the Bekaa Plain. We were shocked when we learned that people there freeze to death every year because of the cold.
Supporting the flagship project "Casa Sankara" is one of our oldest projects, which we have been supporting since December 2020. This time we were able to help with high-quality sewing machines from Oberwart.
Although there is a Kurdish autonomous government in the Syrian region of Rojava and women are therefore legally equal to men, the old role models still persistently shape society.
Two of our Karawanis passed on their IT expertise to 13 participants from refugee camps in Iraq and opened a learning space.
So much hope in such a short time! Many thanks to all those who, as part of the Caravan of Humanity, have helped to make our aid project in Rojava a success.
