Yesterday was a special day for us: the caravan team visited the two schools in the refugee ghettos of Shatila and Burj al-Barajneh.
Here we go and we are full of anticipation, hope and zest for action at the start of our long-planned aid project for Lebanon!
Over the last few days, our small aid team has been out and about in many places in Lebanon - with them: the wonderful clowns Fatoush, Falafel & Waheed.
After weeks of intensive work, two large trucks with 21,500 kg of donations in kind have now made their way from Güssing to Lebanon.
For over three years now, we have been able to use a large hall in Güssing free of charge - a huge relief for us as a non-profit organization!
Our collection for Lebanon is complete - thanks to the many dedicated people who volunteered as collection points, we were able to collect an impressive amount of urgently needed donations in kind.
In June, an aid team will travel to Lebanon to work directly on site with a colorful volunteer team of clowns, artists and volunteers.
Over a year ago, family A was deported from Kempten in a cloak-and-dagger operation - after 8 years in Germany. The entire family was fully integrated and is now struggling to survive in Nigeria.
