Yesterday was a special day for us: the Caravan team visited the two schools in the refugee ghettos of Shatila and Burj al-Barajneh – places full of hope, despite all the circumstances.
The joy of meeting the dedicated teachers and the school principals Batoul and Mirvat was immense.

After long, difficult negotiations, we were able to secure the rent for another year – without an increase. This is not a matter of course in a crisis-ridden country like Lebanon.

And that was only possible thanks to your support! You have made it possible for hundreds of children to continue their lessons. You have secured salaries. Preserved rooms. Gave hope.

The principals are overjoyed. The teachers are motivated. And we – we simply say: Thank you. From the bottom of our hearts for so much humanity.
