Appeal for donations: Solidarity unites –
the caravan of humanity in action for people in Lebanon
In Lebanon, a country in the midst of profound political and economic challenges, many refugee children live in overcrowded camps, precarious ghettos and improvised schools. Yet this is the bleak everyday life of children – and this is where the Caravan of Humanity comes in.
In June, an aid team will travel to Lebanon to work directly on site with a colorful volunteer team of clowns, artists and volunteers. The focus is not only on distributing urgently needed donations in kind, but also on bringing joy to life. With humorous clown shows, lovingly staged performances and joint painting workshops, the caravan brings moments of laughter and hope to the children in their often gray everyday lives.
The campaign emphasizes that moments of joy and solidarity are also possible and important in the midst of crises. The projects are to be supported by donations in good condition, such as clothing, school supplies and hygiene articles – but also by monetary donations that enable transportation and supplies to be provided directly on site, for example. All donations are handed over personally and reach the people concerned directly.
