The Caravan of Humanity is asking you for donations for our aid projects at the edges of Europe!
As long as there is no meaningful humane policy, we have the responsibility to set a sign of humanity and to pass on some of our prosperity.
The donations are used to purchase food, medicines and school materials, as well as to cover the rent and wage costs of the two schools in Lebanon, or are passed on to local NGOs on the ground.

The total costs for the team on site (3 people) of EUR 1,812.15 for petrol, motorway toll, hotel, food, telephone costs, etc. were 100% borne by the passengers themselves.

March 31, 2021: EUR 1,000 for the NGO “Sea Eye” for the boat renovation of Sea Eye No. 4. The NGO has so far saved more than 15,000 refugees from drowning in the Mediterranean Sea.
May 17, 2021: EUR 500 to the association “Menschen im Dialog” for orphans in Nepal
May 19, 2021: EUR 1,036 to the Indian association “CTRD” for urgently needed food during a serious supply crisis in the tribal villages of Tamil Nadu.
1.12.2021: EUR 130 for the photographer training of the Afghan refugee Mahmoud Alizada on Lesvos.
December 23, 2021: EUR 1,000 to the “Gablitz Kitchen” association, which ensures the daily supply of hot meals to 350 people in a refugee camp in northern Syria.

December 31, 2021: EUR 1,000 for the NGO “Lesvos Solidarity”, which oversees numerous flagship projects for refugees on Lesvos.
March 21, 2022: EUR 650 to the association “Gablitz hilft”, which runs a kindergarten in the Atama camp, one of the largest refugee camps in Syria. This money will be used to buy a new photovoltaic system that was destroyed in a storm.
24.3.2022: EUR 1,050 for the NGO “Collective Aid”, which has been providing very important help for refugees in Calais/France for years.
31.3.2022: EUR 4,000 as support to the association “Gablitz hilft” for their Montessori school project in the Atama Camp in Syria. This money will be used to pay teachers and purchase teaching materials.
9.7.2022: EUR 1,000 for the new mission of the NGO “Sea Eye” to rescue refugees in distress at sea. The NGO has so far rescued more than 15,000 refugees from drowning in the Mediterranean.

18.8.2022: EUR 1,000 for the NGO “Choose Love”, which has been working tirelessly for years to help refugees in 15 different countries and support the struggle of indigenous people for their rights.

13.9.2022: EUR 1,010 to the Indian association “CTRD” for emergency aid and reconstruction after severe flooding in the tribal villages of Tamil Nadu
14.9.2022: EUR 985 for the “Back-to-School Initiative” for students in need in Lebanon
27.10.2022: EUR 2,099 for the orphanage “Karim Home”, which has been providing vital help for refugee orphans in Gaziantep on the Turkish/Syrian border for years.
16.1.2023: EUR 1,000 for the NGO “Just Action Samos”, which provides 2,000 refugee families on the Greek island of Samos with food parcels every day.
17.3.2023: EUR 2,010 to needy families in Cuba who are suffering from the massive economic crisis there.
12.4.2023: EUR 2,000 to the association Kib e.V. as support for their protest camp in Berlin against the deportation of refugees.
17.5.2023: EUR 300 donation passed on to a Palestinian family who fled to Austria to escape the war.
26.5.2023: EUR 1,000 support for a shelter for a single mother and her three children who were deported from Kempten to Nigeria.
26.5.2023: EUR 500 as support to the association “Gablitz hilft” for their Montessori school project in the Atama Camp in Syria. This money will be used to pay teachers and purchase teaching materials.
12.8.2024: EUR 2,128.40 to the Indian association “CTRD” for urgently needed support after a serious earthquake in the state of Tamil Nadu, in which more than 1,000 people were buried.
26.08.2024: EUR 500,- donation passed on to our Karawani Farah Tawfeek, who uses it to buy school materials for an Iraqi family who recently landed in Vienna after a dangerous escape.
19.9.2024: EUR 2,471 for school fees for three children in Rwanda
22.12.2024: EUR 1,000 for the “Friends of Lingshed” project, which has been supporting important educational projects in Ladakh/India for decades.
20.3.2025: EUR 5,120 as support for the “Gablitz hilft” association, which finances the drinking water supply in Atama Camp, one of the largest refugee camps in Syria.
20.3.2025: EUR 1,570 for a Nigerian family with two children who were recently deported very harshly from Germany to Lagos and are now struggling to survive.

The total costs for the team on site (9 people) amounting to EUR 5,787.37 for flights, rental car, gasoline, hotel, food, etc. were borne 100% by the participants themselves.
GEA Waldviertler took over the transport costs for the truck with the donations in kind amounting to EUR 4,850.00 (here again a big thank you!).

Of the total costs for the team on site (9 people) in the amount of EUR 6,504.25 for flights, rental car, gasoline, hotel, food, etc., EUR 3,309.85 were borne by the passengers themselves. The remaining amount or the total costs for the four clowns without borders in the amount of EUR 3,194.40 was taken over by the association Clowns without borders eV. The Together-Verein and GEA Waldviertler took over the transport costs as well as customs costs for the truck with the donations in kind in the amount of EUR 8,680.50. Thank you very much for that!

- EUR 3,013.50: Emergency purchase of winter clothing for 55 families whose tents were completely burnt down in a fire at a refugee camp in Arsal/North Lebanon.
- EUR 2,640.57: Purchase of heating oil for 95 families in a refugee camp in the cold mountains of northern Lebanon
Of the total costs for the local team of EUR 9,823.23 for flights, rental car, fuel, hotel, food, etc., EUR 4,590.51 was borne by the participants themselves. The remaining amount or the total costs for the four Clowns without Borders amounting to EUR 5,232.72 were covered in full by the Clowns without Borders association. - The donations were used to improve the water supply in some villages that were particularly badly affected by the drought.

UPDATE January 2025: EUR 4,545.45: Emergency aid for the Afar villages in northern Ethiopia following the massive flooding caused by a volcanic eruption.

EUR 7,700 as support for the socio-cultural projects “La luna naranja”, “Teatro sobre camino”, “La ventana al valle” and “Los ninos de la frontera”, which are doing incredibly important work in Cuba during the current major economic crisis and preventing many people from embarking on a life-threatening escape.
EUR 610.- Support for a Cuban film team to document and disseminate the aforementioned socio-cultural projects.
EUR 2,000 as emergency aid for families particularly hard hit by the economic crisis to buy food and medicines.
EUR 1,800 as support for the socio-cultural project “El Caliman”, which supports many people in the far east of Cuba during the current major economic crisis by growing important foodstuffs.
The total costs for the local team of EUR 5,155.92 for flights, hotel, rental car, fuel, food, etc. were borne 100% by the participants themselves.
Supporting memberships: Use of the contributions
(as at 22.5.2024) There are currently 119 sponsoring memberships, which – apart from donations – amount to 24,285 euros per year. These are used for:
- Truck transportation costs (approx. € 6,000 per year)
- Customs duties for donations in kind (approx. € 2,000 per year)
- Charges to the donation account (approx. € 1,000 per year)
- Website costs (approx. € 300 per year)
- Printed matter and graphics (approx. € 700 per year)
- Special project costs on site such as rental cars, local helpers, transportation of donations in kind, etc. (approx. € 4,700 per year)
- Allowance for two office employees (approx. € 9,600 per year)
