In recent weeks, thanks to the efforts of our Karawani Rainer in Raqqa and Tabqa (Syria), together with the "Organizations Office" of the Kurdish self-administration, we have been able to provide urgently needed help.
A planned aid delivery for a refugee camp in north-eastern Syria has now become emergency aid for war refugees. Our Karawani Rainer Brim reports directly from Syria.
Peter Beinscherer and his wonderful team from "PCs for all" have provided us with 50 PCs for our aid campaign in Cyprus and north-east Syria. Many thanks for that!
Although there is a Kurdish autonomous government in the Syrian region of Rojava and women are therefore legally equal to men, the old role models still persistently shape society.
So much hope in such a short time! Many thanks to all those who, as part of the Caravan of Humanity, have helped to make our aid project in Rojava a success.
In the huge Washokani camp, which has become a new home for more than 16,000 internally displaced persons, there are of course thousands of children. By no means all of them have the opportunity to attend school.
On all our aid missions, it is very important to us to meet people at eye level and to give them hope and joie de vivre through our presence.
Heini Staudinger supported us again this time with his company GEA Waldviertler and donated 1,000 pairs of his high-quality shoes "made in Austria".
Around 16,000 Syrians who have been displaced from their home town live in the huge Washokani refugee camp in north-eastern Syria. Among them are thousands of children.
