After several intense weeks, our aid project this year on Lesbos and in Egypt has come to an end. What remains are countless heartwarming encounters, new friendships, and the certainty that aid has reached the places where it is most urgently needed.
Some encounters last a lifetime: During our very first Karawanen project, we met Nikos and Katherina from Home for All on Lesbos.
Today we’d like to introduce you to “Collective Aid”—the organization on Lesbos with which we work closely to distribute our in-kind donations.
Our two trucks carried a total of 25,000 kg of in-kind donations—packed into an incredible 2,112 banana crates.
The distribution of relief supplies is beginning: Our small but incredibly energetic team has arrived on Lesbos!
It's done: Our largest in-kind donation drive to date is nearly complete, and we are now even able to send two trucks to Lesbos.
Our collection drive for the Greek island of Lesbos is now complete—thanks to many dedicated people, we were able to collect an impressive amount of urgently needed in-kind donations.
