After many intense weeks, our aid project on Lesbos and in Egypt has come to an end. We’re left with countless encounters, moving stories, and the certainty that your support has made a difference.

HELP ON LESBOS

On Lesbos , we were able to distribute a total of 18,265 kg of relief supplies— including 62 pallets of clothing, hygiene items, dishes, toys, school supplies, wheelchairs, crutches, bicycles, stuffed animals, and much more—to refugees through our partner organization, Collective Aid.

In addition, Collective Aid used €9,000 from your donations to purchase urgently needed hygiene supplies and medications. We were also particularly committed to supporting the NGO Home for All with 3,000 €. Many years ago, this collaboration laid the foundation for numerous other aid projects by the Caravan of Humanity.

AID IN EGYPT

Our team then traveled on to Egypt. There, too, we were able to provide very concrete assistance thanks to your donations:

• 18,200 € for the Zaad Community Educational Center in Cairo—a school for refugee children from Sudan. This will cover rent and teachers’ salaries for an entire year.
• 6,500 euros for medication, wheelchairs, and urgently needed assistive devices for war-wounded individuals evacuated from Gaza.
• 6,900 € for daily school transportation for about 200 Palestinian children—for half a year. Without this transportation, many of them would not be able to attend school.

But for us, help means much more than just material support.

Our team of ten also organized 13 clown shows for about 1,400 refugee children, 8 mobile art rooms for about 400 children, and the delivery of dozens of letters and drawings from schoolchildren in Austria and Germany to the children at the Sudanese school in Cairo.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Clowns Without Borders for their wonderful and professional collaboration.

We laughed, painted, listened, helped, and met people whose stories touched us deeply. These encounters remind us why humanity must know no boundaries.

All of this was only possible because so many people pitched in—with monetary donations, in-kind donations, volunteer work, or by spreading the word about our work.
