Review of the year 2024

Preparations for our upcoming aid project are already underway, but before we look ahead, we would like to pause and look back together on what we achieved with our caravan in 2024. Thanks to your support, we were able to achieve great things, help countless people in need and give them new hope. We have you – our supporters – to thank for these “signs of humanity”. Your help and donations enable us to support refugees directly and give them new perspectives. THANK YOU for being part of our caravan!

  • Aid for Cuba (February 2024)
The Caribbean island is in a deep crisis. We have supported local projects with €15,000 to counteract the causes of flight and create prospects for local people.
  • Sewing machines for southern Italy (March 2024)
Eight industrial sewing machines from Burgenland have found a new home at “Casa Sankara”. There, they help former harvest workers who have freed themselves from exploitative structures to stand on their own two feet.
  • Education for children in Lebanon (April 2024)
Our school projects in Beirut give Palestinian and Syrian children a better future. Thanks to € 20,733 in donations, we were able to finance rents, salaries and school materials. Despite the difficult situation, lessons continued online during the war – not only for education, but also for stability and security.
  • Aid for Rojava/Syria (May 2024)
With a team of 12, we not only brought clown shows and painting workshops to the camps, but also €36,141 in aid supplies. A particular highlight: with €16,000, we were able to finance a solar system for a hospital in Qamishli, which can now operate even during power cuts.
  • Support for refugees in Cyprus (October 2024)
Nine Karawanis, including artists and clowns, brought hope to the refugee camps. In addition to 768 boxes of donations in kind, we provided €23,900 to NGOs working on long-term integration.
  • Emergency aid for war refugees in Syria (December 2024)
In the face of a humanitarian disaster following the fighting around Aleppo, we were on the ground to provide direct help with 3 tons of relief supplies. The children were particularly close to our hearts – 2,000 cuddly toys gave them a little comfort in dark times.
  • Global support:
In addition to our projects, we donated € 14,869 to various aid projects/organizations, including the NGO “Sea Eye”, earthquake relief in India and a solar installation for an indigenous village in Colombia.

Every single bit of help counts – and only with your support can we set these signs of humanity! You can find a detailed overview of how and where your donations are used in our donation transparency.
