Pascal Violo from Punara Camp in Cyprus
Pascal Violo and a few other Karawanis were in Cyprus in October 2024 to help refugees.
Hundreds of families, mainly from Syria, have been stranded on this island while fleeing across the Mediterranean. Our aid team distributed donations in kind on site and experienced touching encounters thanks to the mobile painting workshops and clown shows.
Together, we were able to give people in the large camps not only a smile, but also hope. Hope for a better life outside high barbed wire fences.
