After the arrival of the truck, we have been busy pre-sorting the relief supplies over the last few days. By a stroke of luck, we were provided with the necessary storage space by an extremely helpful Cypriot.

Every day from 6.30 in the morning, we started to get the bicycles back on the road, assemble the baby carriages and move the hundreds of boxes from the truck to the warehouse. Above all, however, we gave a lot of thought to how we could best distribute the large amount of relief supplies to our partner organizations and all the places where refugees needed help.

Finally, we delivered many 100s of boxes, diapers, blankets, sanitary towels etc. to our local partners @Refugee Support Europe and “Caritas Cyprus” in a rented van. We also took many of the donations in kind to the two large refugee camps, where the need is enormous and the people were therefore incredibly happy about our collected goods.
Conclusion: Half of the donations in kind have now been distributed, and we will deliver and distribute the rest in the next few days.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our long-standing, fantastic partner Together Verein from Carinthia, who once again provided us with valuable donations in kind. We would also like to thank Wolf Nudeln GmbH from Güssing for their generous donation of 330 kg of organic pasta, which we are passing on to poor refugee families.

The helpful Cypriot explained his support with this wonderful sentence: “I like to help people who help others. This is true humanity.”
