Cyprus has the highest number of asylum seekers per capita in Europe, but state support for the stranded refugees is mostly non-existent. Over 90% have to fend for themselves and find accommodation. In this difficult situation, only a few local organizations are working to help these people.

We are in close contact with two of these organizations: Caritas Cyprus, led by Elizabeth Kassinis, and Refugee Support Europe, represented by Paula Tamarit. Both have been committed to helping refugees in Cyprus for many years and run free stores where new arrivals can obtain clothing and hygiene products.

Thanks to your generous donations, we can support this important work, both through donations in kind, which will arrive by truck in a few days, and through financial help for the purchase of food.
