Schools in Lebanon temporarily closed!

While we are gaining more and more ground here in Cyprus and have many preparations and meetings with the local NGO ahead of us in the coming days, our thoughts are often with our project partners and friends in Lebanon, just 200 km away (as the crow flies). We are in regular contact with them and are appalled by the current situation in this country with which we are so emotionally connected.

Due to the daily bomb alarms and bomb blasts, it is currently not possible to continue school operations at our two schools in Beirut.
Fortunately, none of our pupils, friends or acquaintances have been injured so far, but some of their homes have been destroyed and they are all living in constant fear. Unfortunately, it is currently impossible to say when school will be able to resume.

As the need in Lebanon is particularly great right now, we have decided to continue our financial support in order to help our friends and acquaintances there in these difficult times.

If you would also like to support the people directly affected by the war in Lebanon, we would be delighted to receive every single donation. We will pass these on directly to those affected on the ground.
