Education project for women in Kurdistan

We are delighted that the caravan is making waves: our Karawani Farah Tawfeek will be travelling to Kurdistan/Iraq again to show Yazidi women new prospects in life through education in cooperation with our partner organization Jinda Organization. Some of these women are severely traumatized by the IS attacks, and Jinda helps them to return to normality through therapy, vocational training and support in everyday life.

Farah’s project called “EmpowerHer Tech Labs” aims to provide young women with a sound computer education. In addition to the technical know-how, the training is also intended to give the Yazidi women self-confidence and empowerment. Farah will be on site herself and implement parts of the training as a trainer.
The aim of the project is to build two computer laboratories, each with at least 24 computers, in northern Iraq in order to ultimately give more than 100 women new opportunities in life. If as many people as possible make a small contribution, this initiative can become a reality thanks to crowdfunding
