A few days ago our relief team returned safe and sound from Kurdistan/Iraq. The Kurds are an extremely friendly and open people. Their tremendous hospitality is remarkable – no matter where or how we showed up, we were always welcomed with open arms.

We were incredibly happy that the truck with the donations in kind crossed the borders without any problems. This allowed us to concentrate fully on our project work on site. We would like to thank our partner organization Jinda for the extremely good cooperation and their valuable project work in Kurdistan – it is admirable what this organization has already achieved and we will of course continue to support Jinda.

Hundreds of people in Austria and Germany have helped to realize this project in Iraq: Through their monetary donations and high-quality donations in kind, as well as many, many helping hands – in fact, a real caravan of humanity.

• 19 Clown shows
• 7 Bubble spectacle
• 10 mobile painting rooms
• Unloading, storage and distribution of 12.9 tons of in-kind donations
• Visit of 9 refugee camps (they are huge in Kurdistan with more than 30.000 inhabitants each)
• Visit 7 orphanages
• over 25.000 € for the aid projects of our partner organization Jinda (empowerment, psychological help and social support for girls and women traumatized by the wars of the last years)
