Pascal Violo: Explanation of Kurdistan

During the aid project in Kurdistan, Pascal took heart and recorded this video. More than 2 million internally displaced persons live here, partly in huge refugee camps with more than 30,000 inhabitants.

The Kurds are the largest ethnic grouping, but without a sovereign state. An estimated 30 to 35 million people belong to this nation, and they all dream of self-determination. Their settlement area is about the size of France and stretches across Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Syria. It is one of the most volatile regions in the world. To date, there is no precise geographical definition of Kurdistan….
