We arrived well in Iraq and are now in the middle of Kurdistan in the area around the city of Dohuk. There are many huge refugee camps there with a total of 2 million internal refugees from other regions (that’s more refugees than in the whole EU!).

Together with our local partner organization, we are now visiting many camps and orphanages around Dohuk. Thanks to our clownsand our bubble artist we are always welcomed with open arms. Laughing and dancing together immediately connects us with people and creates wonderful eye-to-eye encounters every time.

We are now eagerly waiting for the truck with the donations in kind, which is currently just before the border of Iraq. In a few days this should also have arrived and we can start distributing the donations in kind.
