Our school sponsorships have made it possible for us to hand over the rents and teachers’ salaries for one year. Batoul and Mirvat, the two principals, were moved to tears as they realized that their school projects will certainly continue next year.

In addition to the financial support, we again had letters with us that were lovingly designed by students from Austria. Once again we were overwhelmed by the response of the children here in Lebanon. The atmosphere was like Christmas: “Is this letter for me?” the students asked in amazement. And then, “Are you sure I can keep this one and take it home?” They showed each other their letters and had us translate the wishes and greetings written in English by the Austrian children. Thank you to the after-school care center Fürstenfeld and the elementary school Burgau for these great and lovingly designed letters – you have given the children here an incredible joy!
