Social closeness through pen pals

Once again we surprised the children in Lebanon with a wonderful letter campaign: The students of the Montessori School Sonthofen designed letters lovingly and in great detail. Some educators have also joined the children from Sonthofen and wrote a letter to teacher Batoul and her colleagues.

Our caravan member Bruno Maul finally took the works of art to Lebanon and presented them to the school children of the “Oxygen” school.

It’s like Christmas for these children: they feel valued and are very happy because they realize that people in Europe are still thinking of them…

Thanks to Bruno for taking and distributing! Thanks to the children and teachers from Sonthofen who made such an effort (as well as some children from Güssing who also wrote letters!). It is precisely these small, connecting gestures that give the children hope and confidence.
